"This is a software driver for Warp3D, which enables:
using Warp3D applications, demos and games with PPC Amigas not equipped with a 3D GFx board, or not equiped with a GFx board at all (but requires P96 or CGX) [and] using Warp3D applications, demos and games not compatible with a 3D Gfx board (example : WipeOut and CGx4/Voodoo3)." From their latest S-File: "For quite some time now we've been working on our next original game. I can't tell you much about it, because it's very far from being finished. As you can imagine, being a clickBOOM game, it is going to be something special. It will be available for Amiga/PC/Mac and possibly consoles."

There are new submission guidelines for user-contributed news / comments / rumours / discussions. In the future, there will be more rigid checks, and items not complying with these guidelines might be edited or removed. One common mistake is that people merely post URLs instead of using HTML markup for links.

The vote for the best games of 2001 at the Amiga Flame website has now been closed. Unsurprisingly, Payback was chosen as the best Classic Amiga game, whilst Planet Zed became the AmigaDE game of the year.

This is just a friendly reminder that ANN is primarily a news / rumour / discussion site and not just a platform for promotion of other websites / companies / organisations. I would therefore ask people to refrain from posting multiple mentions of their website projects in short timespans. Furthermore, I suggest that commercial entities at least consider running a paid advertisement to announce new products or sell existing ones, instead of just benefitting from ANN's traffic and never investing anything back into the sites that help keep their target audience around...

Amiga-news.de are reporting that Epic's Amiga port of the cartoon adventure "The Feeble Files" has gone into production and will be shipped within two weeks. The game "comes on 2 CDs and contains both full english and german speech versions. The Amiga version requires either an Amiga with 68060, 4 MByte Gfxboard and 32 MByte RAM or an Amiga with PPC, 4 MByte Gfxboard and 32 MByte RAM."

Amiga-news.de are reporting a message from Digital Dreams Entertainment, the developers of the games Wasted Dreams and Hell Squad: "Unfortunately we had to cancel all our Amiga only projects. We are now working on several new projects, from support parts for 3D animators (in 3dsMax, Lightwave or Maya) to children games for PC and Console."

"Reading, England January 28th, 2002: Tao Group today announces the appointment of Douglas Muir as Chief Financial Officer. Muir moves from Vodafone where he was Group Chief Accountant and Finance Executive in the Networks Business Group with heavy involvement in the 3G spectrum auction and the Mannesmann transaction."
