In a long article discussing on 31 different Distros (each one briefly), italian newspaper "Linux Magazine" (in the issue of may 2004) not only points also at Freedos, BeOS, QNX... but also it citates AROS... and says:
«Take a look on this project... It's still not usable, but has horsepower in it, and it is very very promising. It could became famous in the future!»

Sigbjørn Skjæret (CISC) just released another version of VCDGear for MorphOS. This program allows you to extract MPEG-Streams from CD's, fix MPEG files, convert files and many more. Further information and the download link can be found on the Homepage.

A new version of HTML Tidy for MorphOS has been created and can be downloaded here. Included is also a diff file which can easily be altered for alternative Amiga solutions.

SoX (also known as Sound eXchange) is a commandline tool which translates sound files between different file formats, and optionally applies various sound effects.
SoX is intended as the Swiss Army knife of sound processing tools. It doesn't do anything very well, but sooner or later it comes in very handy.

Showshape is little program which can display small graphics on Workbench using transparency. You can create various elements with different forms and move them around. Think about Christmas trees, boingballs, round edges for your Workbench Screen, ann.lu logo, Bill Gates head, Speedy Gonzales and a lot more. It's real fun! It comes with nice examples.
