Queens Amiga User Group (QAUG) - an Amiga user group in NYC just celebrated our 21s anniversary of Commodore/Amiga support. We have re-launched our site with a complete makeover and tribute to our 21st year! On this site is information about our club and members. We have a small download section and hardware and software tips. Of specialinterest is our "Member Projects" section which describes the journey ofour Amiga club members and their computers. This section is very nicely done with full writeups and pics. Some of the projects are - 2 AMIGA ONE Computers shown configured and withblurbs, 1 Pegasos computer shown running with screenshots, and an Amiga 2000 Toaster tower project.Amigans everywhere should find thesite of interest, especially the member project page. James Carroll quotes Dave Haynie: I was a founder of Metabox, along with Andy Finkel (ex-Director of Software at Amiga) and two German businessmen, Stefan Domeyer and Geerd Ebeling. We were originally called PIOS Computer, back in the Mac Clone days. PIOS/Metabox had the first 300MHz Mac Clone shipping -- that should set the coordinated for your way-back machine. We bought the motherboards from UMAX, which also carried the license, and made our own CPU cards (actually designed by Thomas Rudloff). (via Slashdot). More below.

"catohagen" quotes Bill Panagouleas, Founder/CEO of DiscreetFX: Looking to make a $1000, port this app and I will pay you. If the dead BeOs can have a port so can Amiga OS, spread the word. More information can be found here. As of right now, there is a $2,150 pot.
