Via a comment by Vincent Perkins in this news item, it sems that Sharp have a press release on their site with details on their new "Zaurus MI-L1" PDA. What should be noted, perhaps, is that there is no mention of Amiga, and yes, there are "Software Development Environment" and "Related Homepage sections. Any comments/thoughts?

Joe "Floid" Kanowitz wrote: For those who don't read Slashdot regularly, this article blipped up on the radar today. While NewOS seems little more than yet-another-kernel at this stage, it might prove a lighter replacement for, say, a full BSD install on older hardware. Cryptically, "Amiga 3000 - M68040" is listed as a planned port; the system currently runs on Wintel and Dreamcast, with the SGI Indy port in active development.

According to the German Heise Newsticker, Metabox is unable to pay its bills. Metabox stellt Insolvenzantrag (Links to German content). A contributor in the Heise forums reminded that Metabox had once presented a PPC card for the A1200, but never completed/shipped. Here's more coverage, via Yahoo: "Metabox, a Hildesheim, Germany-based maker of set-top boxes for digital TV, has declared insolvency, a move equivalent to filing for bankruptcy protection." Metabox stock, once at a high of 42€, plummeted almost 50% to 0.68€ after the announcement. More interesting details: Founder and CEO Stefan Domeyer owns 9.02% of all shares, Dave Haynie 1.31%, Andy Finkel 1.28%. I'm not sure if that's IPO information, or up-to-date
