Sun announced today that the sources of their business software suite
"Star Office" will be released under a GPL licence. Who will port them

Ray A. Akey has launched ProjectBase, a web resource where Amiga (new and old), QNX RtP, Linux and Java developers can share their projects and experiences with others in the form of links, tutorials, code examples etc. Read the amiga.org news item about it here.

Just saw a a demo of the the new Amiga OS on ZDTV News. They said
Bill McEwen will be on the show Screensavers tonight.

This just came in from a friend of mine, Rune Ecklon, who has spotted that ZDTV showed a demonstration of several different devices running the Amiga SDK.
I have no link to the show yet, but I'll post it, as soon as it comes up.

OSOpinion features a nice editorial stating that Linux is rather bloated and that X Windows is largely responsible. It further presents QNX's floppy demo as an example that such bloat does not have to be. How does this affect Amiga Inc and QNX chances?

Amiga Inc., Snoqualmie, WA, today announced manufacturing and distribution agreements with Wonder Computers International Inc. in Ottawa, Canada and Software Hut, Inc. in West Chester, PA. These agreements will allow the manufacture of Amiga Authorized Developer Workstations in North America. Read more here.
