Eat your heart out doom mongers, The World of Amiga Southeast show was a tremendous success. Okay, perhaps we are just blowing our own trumpet, but everyone who attended, from the exhibitors to the people all agreed it was a successfull show.

I will post a more detailed explanation later on, but here are a some highlights

Official Attendance: 367
Traders were very happy with turnout, lots of cash changed hands.
Thanks to those who turned up and supported the Amiga. Your turnout
has helped the UK/European Amiga Scene immensely.
Bill Hoggett Demonstrating Amithlon, Helped sales of AmigaOSXL Package immensely
(I'm pretty sure that to date, WoA southeast has been the largest attended Amiga Show this year. - correct me if I'm wrong)
James Daniels, had a mishap, but he did make it back by 3:00pm
Amiga had Zeoneo and Pagan demonstrating Amiga DE at their stand

It's a shame, that Elbox pulled out at the last minute, but despite that, everyone had a good time, the bar was packed out (surprise) and the cafe did very well too!

Amiga Active Crew, Andrew Korn, and Neil Bothwick also attended.

I'm sure that next year's show will be even bigger!
- Shame for companies like Analogic, Haage & Partner, they missed out big time. All those people spending money just before Christmas...

A big thanks to everyone who, despite the fact that the AmigaOne wasn't evem there, came along and proved that the Amiga Market is far from dead.

We couldn't have done it without you! Thank you very much!

Regards

Mikey C

> Posh as it may be those green tiles reminded me of an 80s pub toilet.
I thought that too, I'm hoping that the hall was built when that type of design was fashionable.
However the location was great for me as it's only 45 minutes drive from my house. I only turned up about 4:00, all I'm going to say is it's not like the old days ( when ocean turned up a fun fair ).
They announced that the contract was going to be signed, but as I couldn't get anywhere near the area I didn't see it happen. They did mention afterwards that it had been signed. There were only a hundred or more people around at the time as it was about 4:40, but someone is bound to have taken a photograph.
I did get about twenty minutes with fleecy after the show had finished. Unfortunately he had an eight hour drive ahead of him so he couldn't hang around. I'm the local AROS development team member so I took my laptop with AROS x86 installed & did a quick and dirty presentation and had an informal discussion on alot of issues.
