Hello? Does anybody read ANN before posting "new" material?
Please look four messages down, and you will see this subject already has its own thread.
I wonder if the new "forum" category is the culprit? We're getting far more news duplication since it was introduced.

The settings don`t save here, so you have to enable Forum and
Unmoderated every time you visit. Maybe this is a problem for other

I can't seem to save too. No matter if I use IBrowse or AWeb. Save never works. And I saw that doesn't work on Opera too (haven't checked other browsers).

Granted. I have the same problem on IBrowse, though I seem to remember it worked prior to the addition of the forum. Everything works fine in IE on WinXP and Galeon on Linux.
Maybe it's a stange cookie problem?

Works on Opera here (v6, Win98) - both at work and at home. Also on IE5.5

Strange, i use all 3 amiga browsers and Aweb saves the settings very well. I use AWeb2 version 3.4 and it works..... sorry people

I made it work in iBrowse editing the cookies by hand, for some reason the path got set to "i", I changed it to "/" and the cookies work.

Not sure what the heck they are talking about when they mention IMAX screens. IMAX is just one really really REALLY HUGE screen. The cinemas that wrap around you are called Omnimax.
This also contradicts yesterdays announcement of a quad-monitor display, now downgraded to a triple-monitor display.
Nevertheless, it's interesting and hopefully there is some truth behind these "announcements".

The "IMAX" thing seems to refer to the use of LCD shutter-glasses (remember those?) for 'real' 3D. Presumably someone said something about using the G1000 for CAVE-type VR (http://brighton.ncsa.uiuc.edu/~prajlich/caveQuake/), and it got mangled.
I can say the preferences have been working fine in Mozilla .99/FreeBSD.

The specs in the posted URL are surely fake, but it's real that Matrox is launching a new gfx board, there is a flash animation at:

MatroxUsers.com spoke about the fake G1000 ads on various websites...
I doubt that matrox will be able to outperform current nvidia chipset on their ground (3d gaming) but if they are able to do so it's only better for us (as users) since monopolystic positions are ALWAYS bad.
