I've achieved to make MacOnLinux running on the Pegasos (under Linux of course) and successfully booted MacOS 9. According to the MacOnLinux development team the OS X support on MacOnLinux is planned and since MacOnLinux run on the Pegasos we can be sure that it'll be possible to run MacOS X too as soon as the OS X support is implemented in MOL.

So it's very interesting for people who want to run programs only available on Mac because it allows to run them without having to buy a real Mac in addition to the Pegasos.

Here a screenshot

Great! Doesn't this kind of emulator require ROM images, and obviously the software though? It is nice to know it works though!

Those newer mac OS CD:s have rom images on them, so hardware ROM:s are not needed.

For gods sake Frodo aka Bernd Presles the supposed unbiassed President of all Amiga users in France. Ever since you got invited for a glass of wine with Big Bills NoBucks you've been a complete sycophantic thendick bottom licker.
Did Big Butts actually tell you to write this drivel or did you manage to think it up all on your own? And did you actually buy this board (if so from whom and how much) or was it a sample gifted to you for services rendered?
Get a life.

So you're saying it's more newsworthy when one PPC mobo runs Linux PPC and MOL than when another does the exact same thing?
It's amazing how deeply rooted this psychological attachment to trademarks really is (in the few people who place themselves in either silly, invented "camp").
It's just pieces of hardware for crying out loud!

I agree. It's all very childish, but it's fun to watch. And it's good to know the MacOS can run on each os them.

Frankly, it's not so surprising that the Pegasos runs MOL, but that there is a Pegasos out in public. That's what shocked me even more ;)

I'll tell you what's uncalled for:
When news of MacOS 9 running on the AmigaOne was announced than a gaggle of MOS supports started slagging it down, but now the boot is on the other foot and a few OS4 supports try and "return the complement" we see the MOS camp getting all worked up and upset, and they call the comments "unfair" and "uncalled for". Sorry guys, but you started this so you had better start living with it - like us OS4 supporters have had to.
I think the question of where this board came from is a valid one. After all, there are only a handfull of such boards in circulation so one does suspect that this is a deliberate attempt to counteract the "wow-effect" of OS9 running on the AmigaOne (and who can blame them). Well, at least we know the Pegasos can run a real OS... ;)

Reread comment 5. It was very uncalled for.
Its personal and full of shit, whitout any erason
whatsoever.
Not that that is any new in the ANN-world,
but then there often is something in the
news-item that triggers the flood of mud
in the comments. Cannot see any in this one,
can you ?
And whats with all this camp-shit youre on about ?
This is a single idiot of person, they exists everywhere.
On all sides.

I'll grant you comment 5 is a bit strong, but at least the poster put his nick-name to it. I've seen a lot worse that this directed to Bill, Fleecy, Ben, Hans & Thomas, Gary, etc. It isn't nice no matter what side it comes from and it's not the way grown adults should act, but SOME of the posts from Thendic ahve been far from professional (while others have been) and certain comments and posts from the Anti-Amiga Inc camps have been outragous.
This has gone on far too long to expect a ceasefire now, so accept the fact that as long as someone posts BS or flamebait then expect some comments containing some choice four letter words to follow.

Didn't bplan/Thedic make ~50 boards in June? How many AmigaOnes do
exist right now? I guess you might be a bit jealous... :-)
>Well, at least we know the Pegasos can run a real OS...
Pegasos has its real OS (MOS) - the AmigaOne doesn't!

I neither want os4 or morphos right now, but i do think that pegasos news is as valid as amigaone news.
not that i find this news very interesting. maybe when Jeri has finished Commodore One and its on sale She will work on a new amiga compatible chipset computer :)
i bet on her OWN she could built a machine far better than amiga with their licensing of some boring pop mboard.

...and then perhaps she'll marry you, have your kids and you can both live happily ever after playing Revenge of the Mutant Camels on your Commdore Ones. Nice fantasy, but mine involve Jenny Lopez and a swimming pool full of jelly ;)
Depending on the price of that Commodore One, I may even buy one myself just to relive the glory days.

Am I wrong for getting a big grin when I see these screenshots, from either platform, especially since I have no use for MOL? ;)
Which distro is that up on in Pegasos-land?
The G3SE has the spotlight at the moment, but can we get some *sane* news on when boards will be available in the US, and how the general public will be able to purchase?

Hello,
"For gods sake Frodo aka Bernd Presles the supposed unbiassed President of all Amiga users in France. Ever since you got invited for a glass of wine with Big Bills NoBucks you've been a complete sycophantic thendick bottom licker."
Oh maybe you are extra-lucid and you know better who am I and what I think.
Sorry but here I just said: I've achieved to make MacOnLinux booting on the Pegasos. Nothing more.
"Did Big Butts actually tell you to write this drivel or did you manage to think it up all on your own? And did you actually buy this board (if so from whom and how much) or was it a sample gifted to you for services rendered?"
Of course I did it on my own! No I didn't buy the board, I've done it at Thendic-France.
"Get a life."
Obviously I've a life outside the Amiga/Pegasos world, otherwise I would be depressive with a community with guys like you!
I've made this thread to inform people that MOL is running on the Pegasos nothing more and people like you interpreted that I'm pro Pegasos...etc
I've posted this news because someone have posted that it sorks on AmigaOne and I wondered myself if it'd work on Pegasos and I thought it'd be good to inform people that it works also on the Pegasos.
And it seems that there are people interested by it according to some comments so respect them and if you are not interested ignore it.
Regards
