However, all of you who believed all the crap Phase 5 was spewing about the Permedia 2: think again.
It's slower than a Voodoo 1 and not fully OpenGL compliant.
We have found with respect to Heretic 2 that on a Cyberstorm PPC/200 the limiting factor is the fillrate of the Permedia 2, not the CPU.
In essence: the CPU has time to spare, the Permedia 2 is doing all it can.
For an unknown reason the BVision boards are even slower than the Cvision boards.
In short: get the Voodoo add-on for the PIV. |
