Steve Crietzman writes: The Open Amiga Foundation is about to be legally born. Open Amiga continue to work hard alongside AROS to develop a portable, free AmigaOS clone for a variety of hardware platforms and CPUs, and are currently in negotiations (which are going pretty well) with Gateway for access to the Amiga-related software patents. Other subjects covered include discussions with the Free Software Foundation's Richard Stallman, their continuing dialogue with Petro Tyschtschenko, and a request for Amiga developers to help by joining the AROS project.
