Amiga lowering A1200 prices : Comment 20 of 21ANN.lu

In reply to Comment 17 (David Scheibler):
Most shops round here sell s/h A1200s minus the PSU for around £20.
Sometimes if you're lucky they have a small hd or memory upgrade into
the bargain. They're always snapped up within days of them appearing
though, so its nice to see them finally being available cheap through
legit amiga dealers.. its a really good idea IMO. Especially
considering rev 1.D.4 boards have to be modified before they
even work with decent upgrades. And you also get a nice new set of 3.1
roms thrown in to let you run os3.5.
Also, if you wanted to start a brand new A1200 system, shove
an Amijoe, pixel64 and some memory up its bum and throw it into a
tower with a small HD, should cost you about £500-£600 for a very
useable (and real) Amiga system. Before the trolls start, yeah you
could get an much more powerful pc for that price, but thats not the
topic.
Always good to have cheap replacement m/bs too :)
