Amiga's new website is up. I didn't find a lot of content yet, but at least the layout and structure seems better now.

I agree that the softimage website doesn't work on all levels, but the visual "impact" factor seems to be there at least. As for the javascript, the new Amiga site has javascript mouseovers as well. You can have both graphics, and then the text links as well on the page. I hate frames, so I wouldn't add that either.
I threw together a prototype in my spare time of what I was kind of thinking. It has no navigation yet,lacking content and the likes, but you might get the idea of what I was thinking...
