Corel press release at amiga.com : Comment 13 of 18ANN.lu

Actually, the announcement appears a bit different than the Gateway-Corel
announcement of a few months ago. But, it seems like the message
is that the new Amiga will be able to run Corel apps which has
been written for Linux. This will be because Elate is supposed to
be able to interpret any program to run on any "mapped" processor.
This might be a way to get Linux people interested in the Amiga,
but the announcement is vague regardless...I would guess that the
plan is to have Linux people find a new platform, and if the
new Amiga (supposed) is a step ahead in technology above what is
commonly passed off as "advanced" they may start writing for
it...at least this is what I am guessing....
But the announcement was vague, somewhat different from the
Gatemiga/Corel announcement but similar enough to make me think
that Mr. McEwan sees value in teaming up with a big player...
Just my 2 centavos.....
