Most of the scripts behind ANN need updating or a complete rewrite. But apart from that, what do you think is missing on here? What would make you visit more often, participate more? Which features would make you stay longer, read more pages...? Right now, ANN is getting visits from between 2000 and 2500 unique IP addresses per day, but will only generate about 6000 pageviews per day, this month. That means an average visitor sees less than 3 pages per day, which is not much considering the wealth of comments, the polls, etc. What do you think?

What is missing? : Comment 10 of 12 | ANN.lu |
Posted by Hyperjon on 18-Apr-2000 22:00 GMT | Have you thought about becoming Amiga's first and best portal? Yahoo gets thier page views by offering lots of stuff for people to do for free. They do a good job of trapping thier audience. This may be the direction you want to go. I've noticed that Amiga.org seems to already be trying to go this route. They have really enhanced their site lately. BTW, I don't participate much, but I'm one of your daily hits. I only visit ANN and Amiga.org. Between the two sites, I usually get all the Amiga news that's out there. Thanks. |
