Most of the scripts behind ANN need updating or a complete rewrite. But apart from that, what do you think is missing on here? What would make you visit more often, participate more? Which features would make you stay longer, read more pages...? Right now, ANN is getting visits from between 2000 and 2500 unique IP addresses per day, but will only generate about 6000 pageviews per day, this month. That means an average visitor sees less than 3 pages per day, which is not much considering the wealth of comments, the polls, etc. What do you think?

In reply to Comment 2 (Johan Rönnblom):
Agreed completely.
You've got a really good and efficient site design here.
But you're after ideas for improvements?
Okay...
1. Would be nice to be able to set my prefs, and have the site recognise me when I return, so I don't have to keep setting them. Without that option, setting the prefs seems rather pointless. Perhaps use cookies, or just try to recognise my IP address?
2. Some sort of scoring system, so we can rate articles. (Having said that, I guess the number of comments is quite a good way of judging already?)
Hmm.. can't think of any more right now. :-)
Hope those are helpful :-))
See ya!
