According to a poster in comp.sys.amiga.misc, the IWin website, and therefore the last evidence of this monster hoax/scam, has finally disappeared. I don't even remember their URL, but all the while I was kinda expecting that Iwin's end would be different than just a simple disappearance without further notice. Like a law suit against them, a message on their site stating they've moved to Sibiria to hibernate, a posting with explanations, anything.

Iwin all gone... : Comment 4 of 8 | ANN.lu |
Posted by Lars Nelson on 01-May-2000 22:00 GMT | I can't believe they spent money doing it. I even called
them on their cell phone, and spoke with them on long
distance from USA to Germany. Then there was the website,
the Usenet postings, etc.
With their passing, our time can sure be spent better. |
