A posting on Moo Bunny by "Darthanoia" claims that SSEYO Koan is the new Amiga sound system. When following the links, you get to read a press release from 27 Jan 2000 stating that Tao Group provides more information on its highly acclaimed intentâ„¢ digital content engine and toolkit with the details of its integrated audio layer, the SSEYO Koan audio engine. I'm not sure whether the fact that Tao uses their engine is a valid proof that Amiga will also use it. Any comments?

Koan is (from what I read on SSEYO's site) just a plugin for dynamic creation of music using small mp3s.
It seems to be a relatively unimportant part of the audio system, and may not even end up on the Amiga.
As a (wannabe :) audio developer I do hope Amiga/Tao have a solid audio layer in their OS, certainly something more substantial than this...
