Ben Yoris writes:
Alien Nations is a real-time strategy game in the vein of "The Settlers", which was enthusiastically received by the German speaking public and press. The game is set on an alien planet inhabited by three very distinct races: the Pimmons, the Amazons and the Sajikis and features campaigns consisting of 10 single player missions per race, set against a giant 3D back-drop. Resource-management, diplomacy, research, commerce and battle are key to success. The Amiga version will most likely require a graphics card and will support PPC accelerators through WarpOS although the feasibility of a 68060 version will be examined. Optional 3D acceleration will be supported through Warp3D. Release is expected during Q3 of 2000.

Titan and Hyperion bring "Alien Nations" from Jowood to the Amiga : Comment 19 of 27 | ANN.lu |
Posted by Eric on 09-May-2000 22:00 GMT | Actually I'd like to see all of Hyperion's announced games released
right now so I can buy them already. (But then I'm sure they'd like
to release them all too if they could.) I find myself in the unusual
situation of being interested in every one of their games.(though my
reaction to Sin is on the lukewarm side, still it's worthwhile enough
to get). So I guess I'll buy 'em all when they're out. I really
don't see how they can expect to make any money, given the licensing
fees and the small Amiga market (even smaller given the high-spec
Amiga system required). But at least it won't be for lack of spending
on my part.
Addressed to Villagetronic/Blittersoft/whoever: Didn't I just read
that Paraglide for the PicassoIV was about done? Ship it already!
Send a bunch to Software Hut, so I can buy one and finally get
Wipeout2097. It's been way too long.
