Posted by Remco Komduur on 24-May-2000 22:00 GMT | The Permedia 3 is probably the easiest for them to use at the moment because it should be somewhat like the Permedia 2. Question is, are the important hardware features available on the Permedia 3 that weren't on the Permedia 2.
I hope that one way or another it will once be technically and commercially possible to use a GeForce. It should drop in price now the GeForce 2 is available.
The basic idea is the same behind the GeForce as was with AGA. Let the graphics processor do the work not the main processor. NVidia call the GeForce a GPU(Graphics Processing Unit).
