In reply to Comment 1 (Chris Roccati):
Hi!
Starcraft ? Good joke. Only I fear it was not
meant as a joke... well, Blizzard are a very
- hmmm, how do you say "arrogant" without saying
it too negative ? :) - company... I doubt they
would give a license if they do not have
an incredible amount of guaranteed sales...
Raven/Activision on the other hand are very
NICE companies appearently (now licensing
the third game to Hyperion already !!!) - well,
of COURSE money surely also plays a role in
this nicety. And Soldier of Fortune is one
of the TOP GAMES for PC currently. Potential
top seller :)
BTW: Heard of the PCI ? This would be the IDEAL
solution for 3D stuff... and the most important
thing for the Amiga currently *is* a new
GFX Board... it is a fact that for highend
games the fillrate of the Permedia 2 currently
is the limiting factor...
Quake... it was 10 fps as it is 68k-only...
try Quake on a PowerPC :) Shogo of course
WILL support the PowerPC ... so you cannot
compare like this (sure, I do not doubt that
it is more performance-intensive than Quake,
but I am sure that it will be playable - actually
I have reason for telling so, as I already
saw it running on Amiga, a Beta version :) It
was short on display at the Show...)
