In reply to Comment 42 (Chris Roccati):
-You can't handle someone with opinion different than your own?
-You need to protect yourself from the negative "crimethink"?
I could care less if someone has a different opinion than myself! Puuhleaze! This isn't about a difference of opinion, it is about your trolling posts!
Facts:
1)Hyperion is porting extremely high quality games to the Amiga. They are not making hollow product announcements, they are actually delivering!
2)PPC Amiga users are actually buying these quality games.
3)Hyperion makes money, hires more employees, makes more games.
4)No more chicken/egg problem. High quality PPC software exists, demand for PPC accelerators & better gfx cards sky rockets. Any company who can deliver(DCE, Elbox, Met@box etc) makes a killing.
5)The market actually grows instead of shrinking. (How is that you say? PPC owners rarely if ever leave the platform(look at ebay). Every single new PPC board sold from this point on increases the market directly and noticably.)
6)Phase5 sold ~10,000 PPC cards without there being a single program available to run on it. Whoever is the first company to release the NG PPC card will sell much more than that because software is available.
7)The more PPC cards sold, the more companies produce PPC software.
See the pattern here? No matter how much you complain, whine, and insult people won't stop progress here. Hyperion is the most comendable Amiga based company in existance, they are doing more to support and expand the market than Amiga Inc themselves!
Once again kudos Hyperion!!! Keep giving us a reason to own a PPC card!!
