Didn't notice if someone hit this point already... but there are a lot of games that do well on handhelds as well as on big screens. For an example, look at the way the Dreamcast and all the newer consoles offer gaming from their memory cards. You might not get the full game, but you can "extend" the gameplay into the portable realm.
Tetris, RPGs, and just about anything that isn't a 3D-rendered first-person-shooter scales to a handheld device just fine.
