Considering the sheer number of programmers working for Microsoft, both in-house and contractually, not to mention the dollar figure investments being made, there's no excuse for their products being anything but stellar. Falling well short of the mark seems to be perfectly acceptable these days.
Stop making excuses for incompetence.
