Interview with Frank Mariak : Comment 3 of 39 | ANN.lu |
Posted by Mike on 17-Oct-2000 22:00 GMT | In reply to Comment 2 (Frank Mariak): /************
I agree that the translation is really worse but I'm not planning to do an english version of the interview for Amiga-News.de, yet. I don't need to respond to the press announcement of ELBOX, either.
**************/
You might not NEED to do it, but NOT doing it, especially in the current context, speaks volumes. Perhaps your lawyer adivised you not to?
/*******************************
I hope they are as enthusiastic about developing software as they are about writing press announcements.

Nice troll.
/******************************
Why does ELBOX not release the PCI driver developer documentation ? Anyone can feel free to provide a driver for a PCI device, it's not just me that >can< (it looks to me like it has to be "has to" sometimes) provide graphics drivers.
*******************************/
I'd like to see the PCI driver developer documentation myself.
On the other hand, it appears to everyone that YOU DID AGREE TO PROVIDE GRAPHICS DRIVERS! Perhaps if you'd take the time to present your side in this, your statement that someone else can write it will have more merit. Also, does this mean that someone else can write CGX 4 drivers? I didn't know the dev info for CGX 4 was open.
/*************************************
At least I won't attach any Mediator documentation to my "press" notes like they did with my software.
**************************************/
Well, you might as well. That way, we'd have a better idea if the FUD that has been spread as coming from you (ie, Mediator is hard to develop for, won't work, etc etc.) is really true.
(Just as a note, MY Mediator does seem to work :) |
