Eyetech sub-Licences Voodoo drivers for Predator : Comment 1 of 9 | ANN.lu |
Posted by PaulT on 23-Oct-2000 22:00 GMT | This should probably rate being moved to the main section. Despite the "press release - spin control" comments suggesting that the exclusive license was misunderstood in the newsgroups, I'd suggest that this is a positive statement. It makes the point that apparently they have not locked up all rights to Voodoo drivers for the Amiga, only that they have guaranteed themselves drivers.
Perhaps we can move beyond the general agreement that, licensing fees PAID vs. COSTS ACCEPTED, verbal contracts BROKEN or not, it's best for all video accelerator offerings to have the chance to have Voodoo drivers as they bring the Classic Amigas up to modern speeds.
PaulT ________ Reply here, it's what it is for. |
