Here's the homepage of a new open source MPEG4-based video codec, called 3ivX. It's to be launched on December 15th. Amongst other things, Amiga support is promised.

If it's supposed to read Div/X stuff, then f'get it with current PPCs too.
A Celeron@500MHz WITH CACHE can hardly read a movie smoothly, so we'll have to just wait for a G3/G4 CPU to achieve this correctly.
