After looking at the code they have, it is way to big. But there's an easy way to chop off 2 megs of compiled code though... remove the support for WMA (the worst audio compression method ever to be released) as it isn't needed. I'll prolly help them write the core components in java or vp though as I'd much rather see a better standard used like converting over WinAMP or working with Thomas Wenzal to port his code over. I just haven't decided what the best thing to do is. The preferred method that I have is to create a plugin API so that mp3 audio can be used in any program, not just an mp3 player. Also, I would like to see that pushed out to accept other audio codecs like rawiff sun au and others making it more like what we know of Amiga today.
