Posted by A3K on 21-Mar-2001 23:00 GMT | While I think that it is probably worth it, I can't help but wonder if they would sell a lot more copies, and in turn make more money, if the price was a bit lower.
I also wonder how it would do with some of the newer children's software titles. The minimum system requirements for them aren't that high. I have managed to get most of the older "Jumpstart" titles running on Shapeshifter and Fusion, but most of the new titles require PPC with a relatively low speed. Some of them (IE "Blues Clues Treasure Hunt") feature full screen FMV.
I know that probably isn't a big market, but I am sure that there are a lot of Amiga users with small kids. We have a PC for most educational software, but my 5 year old likes my old games on my 4000PPC so much that I bought him an A1200. If iFusion will run the edutainment stuff I mentioned before, his A1200 might be due for an 040/ppc/bvision upgrade at some point:) |
