From 3IVX site: 3ivx Delta 3 has been released, including both the encoder and the decoder this time. 3ivx Delta 3 features the same impressive compression as the Delta 2 release, with 600% the playback speed.

I tried the first release of 3ivX for windows... let me spell this out:
S L O W , even for a low resolution clip.
DivX is currently the best, but OpenDivx (same authors) is currently in beta, and and Amiga port is underway (I believe one guy is on the project, he might appreciate some help!)
