Ever since I introduced a ratings system ten months ago, people have mostly been ignoring it. Since the very low usage doesn't justify the storage required, as well as the increase in average bandwidth per transfer, I'm removing all rating functionality as of today. As a result, the main page should now weigh in at about 4k less than before.

I like this karma thing. Sort of a thumb up/down setup? I guess I was one of those 10 people who occasionally rated things. I don't know, I guess when the I see polls and such on TV news and wonder how so many people could choose the opposite of what I would, I get a wee bit jealous. Of course, I'm also the first guy to avoid the pollsters at the shopping malls, etc. :)
