I've had many users of v0.1371 (from Aminet) tell me that they are haveing problems getting online with the ICQ servers. It looks like the old v2 protocol is being phased out.
Go to my website and get the latest beta v0.1732 and ensure that the v5 protocol is being used in the preferences. No one is having connection difficulties using the v5 protocol.
STRICQ Homepage The current beta is on the Support page, also be sure to read the History file and get all the necessary image files.
Also, make sure all required MCCs are the latest versions. Send me EMail if you have problems.
