"Elbox would like to explain the international relationships with Hyperion for the Amiga community."
- Elbox responded to the Hyperion's offer (Warp3D V4).
- Hyperion sent their offer to Elbox on Friday 25 May at 22:29 CET.
- Elbox Computer is a fully-fledged business, with the office working
from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. in week days only.
- When Hyperion sent their offer, it was clearly beyond Elbox's office
hours.
- Elbox contacted Hyperion on Monday 28 May after reading their offer and
consulting it in a company meeting held specifically for this purpose.
- Elbox is eager to make an agreement with Hyperion and co-operate for
creating more high-performance software for Amiga.
- Please note that as early as in August 2000 Elbox transferred to
the Warp3D team (at Hyperion's request) a FREE developer's
Mediator PCI 1200 along with the Mediator SDK.
- During the meeting in WOA 2000, Hyperion expressed their readiness to
support Elbox hardware, which we believe was also due to the transfer of
free hardware as Elbox' support for Hyperion. 3D support is necessary for
users and conducive to equally both software and hardware businesses
growing.
- We are sure co-operation is possible and necessary and evolving and we
hope it will come to a fruitful end, especially with Hyperion proposing
making 3D drivers as a commercial product. This gives a chance to future
developing 3D drivers also for other modern graphic cards, for which
ELBOX has now been preparing 2D drivers.
Elbox continues to make every effort to make sure Mediator PCI
- now being developed into the full 4-type line: Mediator PCI 1200,
Mediator PCI ZIV, Mediator PCI ZIII, Mediator PCI 4000 - always remains
the best PCI busboard for Amiga computers and always enjoys the best
software support.
