Amigo follows up on serious allegations about H&P and says: "I also just asked Unisys as it says here, and am waiting for a reply. If true, H&P could probably be forced to close."
[ If H&P indeed didn't pay royalties for Unisys' GIF algorithm, they might not be forced to close per se, but if this is indeed true, and Unisys decides to sue, they might have to pay some serious fines. Also note that while this is not in unmoderated, it's highly speculative, unconfirmed and generally should be taken with the usual grain of salt - CK ]

Serious allegations about H&P : Comment 53 of 164 | ANN.lu |

I'm very reluctant to delete stories that might have a valid statement to make, especially if things have been up for a while and most people have read it anyway. In the past, I deleted a few submissions with allegations that went too far, but only after being asked by at least one of the parties involved - which hasn't happened so far...
Never having used MorphOS, and not having used an Amiga for several years now, I guess I'm fairly impartial. I try however to be as objective as possible, and mention both as much as possible without upsetting visitors favouring the respective competitor. Which isn't always easy. :) |
