KDH Datentechnik announced Subway, the USB controller for the A1200 clockport. Features include:
- USB specification 1.1 and 2.0 compliant (full and low speed)
- integrated root hub with 4 ports (self powered)
- all ports protected against overcurrent and overload
- power saving 3.3V technology
- compatible with accelerator boards (030/040/060/PPC)
- no mechanical problems with A1200 bus boards
- compatible with tower housings
- standard A1200 clockport connector
- high speed clock interface
- works on fast clockports (if 100% A1200 compatible)
- available shortly

It seems there is some confusion. There are many more a1200's out there in use than a2000/a3000/a4000's. If they are going to market a product they have to go for the largest market. As it seems possible that it may also work if you have another card in your machine then the only people that appear to be unable to use this are a1000/a500/a500+/a600 users. A zorro card would be nice, I imagine if the clock port version is popular then someone will make a compatible zorro & pci version eventually. |
