KDH Datentechnik announced Subway, the USB controller for the A1200 clockport. Features include:
- USB specification 1.1 and 2.0 compliant (full and low speed)
- integrated root hub with 4 ports (self powered)
- all ports protected against overcurrent and overload
- power saving 3.3V technology
- compatible with accelerator boards (030/040/060/PPC)
- no mechanical problems with A1200 bus boards
- compatible with tower housings
- standard A1200 clockport connector
- high speed clock interface
- works on fast clockports (if 100% A1200 compatible)
- available shortly

Game control pads/joysticks are beginning to use USB.
Digital Cameras.
PDAs.
Portable MP3 players.
Cool mice that don't have sticky rollers needing cleaned or special mouse pads that wear out.
Many items that may not be available in serial/parallel/SCSI/whatever versions when my current
ones grow old and quit like my modem, ZIP, etc...
But maybe this isn't interesting... |
