[Forum] Any interest in Zorro cards? | ANN.lu |

I am currently toying with the idea of designing a Zorro card for the Amiga. What would the interest be in a card with the following:
10/100 mbit Ethernet, 2 X High speed serial ports, 1 X ECP/EPP parallel port & IrDa?
There is some preliminary information on my website
I am also looking at the possibility of adding a Zorro to ISA bridge and making the card work in Zorro 2 and Zorro 3 Amigas.
Are there any other features you would like?
If you are interested, please email me. If there is enough interest I will look at making some prototypes and if feasible, a short production run.

Any interest in Zorro cards? : Comment 100 of 147 | ANN.lu |

I want to point out that if we where asked for a licence we would grant it. And just because we don't want to specifically support it with our software doesn't mean that others won't do.
You might want to mention that we gave support to Harald for getting Warp3D to work, to a certain extend. Others have paid us for this, so there are limits.
Finally, you might also want to point out that we never ever did anything to actively prevent our software or Warp3D working on Amithlon. The impression that is generated that we oppose Amithlon in any way is false. We just don't support it with our software, but neither do we support AROS or MorphOS or UAE or anything else - but as I said, we also don't build in anything to prevent it.
> Amithlon is not mentioned in the FreeSpace requirements list
I beg your pardon? Why should we say "requires Amithlon"? If you mean the supported platform list, we don't mention UAE there either, albeit is might or might not work on it. We list platforms that we have tested. That doesn't have anything to do with official positions, if you check H&P's compatibility list you will find out that they do list it as being compatible with AmigaOSXL and Amithlon. |
