Today, I tracked over one hundred attempts of abuse on ANN. I've been working on the filters and editing mechanisms for over four hours. Maintaining ANN is turning into real work, and all I see are tasks that I despise. This one individual, and the general attitude on ANN lately, is alienating visitors and making this site a horrible place to be. Most of what I see is insults and blind advocacy... I'm tired... And I can just see the negative comments again, in reply to me posting this...

Well, that's a funny one.
It seems to me this is the more off-topic thread I've ever seen on ANN, but at the same time way more civilized than other topics we all know, even though religion is one sensitive matter. As someone stated it, it is VERY easy to start a flame war on religion. Well it seems that these times, it's more easy to start a flame war about Amiga.
I think Amiga was already known as one of the more sensitive matter on usenet concerning the flame wars. I think it just reached the first place :)
Anyway, I don't think this is the place to argument about the origins of christianity. There are forums for that (Buy the way, try www.christiancoders.com for an example of some weird but interresting mix).
I suppose changing the site to a religion oriented topic would be less dangerous (as a flame bait) than continuing talking about Amiga, but I don't think that's what most want. So, please, vould you stop that thrad and continue by e-mail or on a related forum ?
