Warp3D software render driver : Comment 110 of 158 | ANN.lu |

I really can't see how an 68k or x86 software driver is different from a PPC software driver. Please do explain.
How about releasing the x86 software driver to show Hyperion isn't as anti-x86 as you make us all believe.
Because of your anti-x86 campaign, I cannot help but wonder what good a Warp3D licence for Amithlon would be. When I hear 'Amithlon Warp3D', it expect it to be x86-native and have the ability to use normal Warp3D drivers (not Amithlon specific ones) - remember you also will benefit from drivers written by Amithlon users (uniform pci API, read below). Even though the licence fee is high, it's rather high for a software renderer running in 68k emulation.
Reminds me, I guess ou haven't come to an agreement on that uniform pci API wxith Harald Frank. You two really shouldn't be fighting like this. And yes, Harald is at fault too IMO... I've been disappointed by his particular way of discussing things :(. Surely this can be done in a more civilised way.
>Hyperion is not a charity and 300 DM for Amithlon/AmigaXL package ain't
>exactly a give-away either.
I blame H&P... Amithlon+OS3.x alone would be alot cheaper. If anyone should pay for the licence, it's H&P (IMHO :). |
