"cOrpse" noticed that the Eyetech front page was updated, "it now includes an Amiga ONE series computers section. The dev boards £315 ex vat and £370.13 inc , does this mean the final board is going to be around 410 for us u.k peeps?"

Eyetech front page updated : Comment 16 of 26 | ANN.lu |
Posted by Amon_Re on 20-Mar-2002 10:10 GMT | In reply to Comment 15 (Anonymous): I tought darwin (the underlaying OS layer) was open source, i know that Aqua isn't.
You can download darwin for x86 eg, and it's based on *BSD.
*If* darwin is open source, it can be made to run on any PPC board, however, the main problem would be Aqua
Anyway, if it is possible, we'll find out soon enough, an A1 is pretty cheap, and has PCI slots, so it could be interresting for people who need to use MacOSX. (If you want an expandable mac you need one of those G4 towers, and they are expensive)
Personally, i'll be running AOS tho :)
