Amiga users are appreciative : Comment 14 of 34 | ANN.lu |
Posted by Stuart Anderson on 21-Mar-2002 22:24 GMT | In reply to Comment 13 (catohagen): I've just installed the Boing Bag in my A1200 with Blizzard1260, and it works just great. I didn't take any special precautions (I already have a good WB backup), just clicked Install. I already had SKIPROMUPDATES scsi.device set in my Startup Sequence, since I have IDEFix installed, and the installer DID NOT mess up my Startup Sequence at all. The system came up after a warm reboot with no problems, although I'm still seeing VincEd instead of the new shell. Perhaps a cold reboot is necessary. I'll try it tonight.
By the way, when I tried to download the Boing Bag from haage-partner.com, I couldn't access the file via IBrowse (I usually do http downloads, and they usually work), but when I used SiimpleFTP, the download was quite fast. Perhaps some people who have reported problems with the download process might try an FTP client instead of a browser. Anyway, it worked for me.
This update was very satisfactory, and I haven't even tried out all its features yet!
