As many of us already understood, the G3 based "supercomputer" to which CoyoteFlux referred in their interview was a bPlan Pegasos. They've got some more infos at THENDIC-France.

Thendic France announce worldwide Pegasos reseller program : Comment 66 of 70 | ANN.lu |
Posted by Johan Rönnblom on 14-Apr-2002 07:53 GMT | In reply to Comment 62 (JGen): Right. So when I order a mouse, they send a note to the factory
producing mice (although they haven't actually produced any yet, but
they soon will), then they make it, and then it's sent to me.
Sorry. That's not what happens. If you're invited to order something
which isn't even produced yet, it's certainly a preorder. Especially
if it's something that NEVER has been produced.
NB: Not that I have anything against preorders, as long as there's no
prepayment.. I just can't stand this "Product X which isn't available
is real, but product Y isn't real since it isn't available". |
