Amiga Inc. April executive update : Comment 109 of 186 | ANN.lu |
Posted by logain on 14-Apr-2002 00:24 GMT | Sory, but Hyperion & Amiga Inc doing a huge mistake. But I think this comes together when advocates and less-investment-high-profit manager hit stategy decisions in this software market. Sorry for this impertinence.
Its acceptable, that Pegasos Users pay a bit more for OS4 as planned until now, but now it seems that the -Hype-erion Crew tries to force Pegasos-User to buy 3 OSes just because they now think (last Executive Update totally different->the famous "correct-the-last-announcement-announcements"(tm)) that those people maybe dont buy OS4 or might copy it and the other nonesense with "to ensure support". The most important unmentioned argument seems to be, that Amiga needs more money to waste it in their AmigaDE, AmigaAnywhere, Digital Heaven project because nothing substantially has been archived and nobody has a really strong interest in their product. Only renamed or rebundled 3rd Party Software were released until now. But thats not directly the point.
Normally support for the product is included in the price. You buy it, if it doesnt work, you get help. Why, for gods sake does Amiga Inc. & Co think, they can change this quite simple logic.
The funny thing..they accept to hurt themself because most people who decided for Pegasos will never go for the fareast-licensed AmigaOne and so they cant, even if they want, throw money out of the window for AmigaOS. So like myself. I would like to see both OS running on my system and exclusive Software for both OS. And many others as well. And now the big annoying started ..causer: Amiga Inc. as usual. Why cant they simply do their job (not meaning Ben should futhermore act as a laywer). I think there are some more clarifying words needed from Hyperion & Co or they will really fell the tree they sit on.
But all in all this is a quite typical Amiga-desaster.. |
