Say who ? I thought it was already said: We do want to support the Pegasos board. It's firmly planned. Unfortunately, we haven't received a developer board yet, but if we ever get one, OS4 will run on the Pegasos.

AmigaOS 4.0 on Pegasos : Comment 300 of 510 | ANN.lu |
Posted by DaveW on 16-Apr-2002 07:58 GMT | In reply to Comment 297 (Gabriele Greco): > It's really sad to see Hyperion/Amiga Inc. that are so frightened by MorphOS to use legal strategies to block it. Maybe the fact that MorphOS has almost an advantage of 2 years of development from AOS4 is the reason
I dont think they are frightened of it in the slightest. They see it as competition sure but more importantly they believe their rights have somehow been infringed and AInc have to defend those rights.
Sure its not nice to be on the receiving end of allegations let alone a case but its far far far from victimisation - its just business.
Plus I doubt that MorphOS has 2 years on AOS4. MOS had the disadvantage from day one in that it had to re-engineer AOS3.9 from scratch ( or so its claimed ) whereas Hyperion could just waltz in with the AOS3.1 source and develop from that. Its the difference between a standing and a running start.
It also hasnt taken Hyperion 2 years to overtake where MOS is at. |
