From the site:
14th April 2002: Server upgrade when without a hitch, so I am able to bring you a new PC CDROM ISO. All the usual stuff about this probably not working applies here, but we are getting really close to automated HD installations now. Work on Zune, our version of MUI is going well.

New AROS ISO image : Comment 8 of 9 | ANN.lu |
Posted by Matt Parsons on 17-Apr-2002 18:59 GMT | Putting AROS onto a HD is not really a good idea at the moment.
We are adding new types of drive to the boot loader. The old system used the PC style drive, the MBR. Our new system uses the RDB drive (the Amiga way). As this makes more sense to AROS.
I've said that we will provide a simple HD installer program as soon as it's ready.
For those of you who are not prepared to wait:
run HDToolBox and Partition the drive (I assume you know how to do this), make sure you use RDB, and then save changes, close HDToolBox.
type "contrib/aminet/Format64 DRIVE DH0: NAME "Workbench" FFS QUICK
type "install-i386-pc DEVICE ide.device UNIT 0 GRUB dh0:boot/grub"
And I think that should do it...
Known problems with the Format command have caused problems on some machines... you have been warned. |
