Posted by Graham on 14-May-2002 13:11 GMT | In reply to Comment 12 (Marcus Sundman): Apparently it isn't the final heatsink for the product, but it looks likely that any slot next to the AGP port will be blocked regardless of the final heatsink used, at least until they shrink the die down to a smaller process than 0.15um - say 0.13um should provide a benefit later this year (when TSMC get their 0.13um process in order).
As the AGP port is generally always the top port, why not put the GPU on the other side with its cooling solution? That wouldn't block any ports, and the heatsink would be resting on the card in a tower configuration, not hanging from it... |
