There is no cause for alarm.
It's not because the AmigaOne doesn't (yet?) have Firewire onboard that we don't intend to support Firewire.
In fact, as soon as the USB stack for OS 4 is done (it's currently being beta-tested) we can examine the best way to bring Firewire to OS 4.
I'm sure you will agree that Firewire on a PCI card is a viable option for those who really want Firewire support.
Considering the fact that there are now soundcards and graphics boards wilt Firewire support, this could even be handled without losing a PCI slot.
