"This is a demo video of bPlan's Pegasos computer. The video has been created by Thendic-France to give an impression of how the machine runs."
the download is still in progress, but i'm sure it will finish to convince all amiga users thats the ppc amiga they are waiting since years is finally arrived

the next ppc amiga : Comment 279 of 359 | ANN.lu |
Posted by DaveW on 20-May-2002 13:32 GMT | In reply to Comment 273 (Alkis Tsapanidis): Its called protecting your IP. If you do not protect your IP in case A your ability to protect it in subsequent cases B,C and D is diminished heavily.
> There are 3 cases here:
> 1) You win, bplan goes bankrupt, you never get a single penny, MOS users
> leave the Amiga scene out of frustration.
Erm thats not exactly the way it happens. Normally the court order would specify pay the claimant first and the creditors second, that is unless you are saying that BPlan is virtually bankrupt already?
Havent MOS users already ( by default ) left the "Amiga scene" anyway by migrating onto MOS which is incompatible with AOS4.x?
> 2) You lose, bPlan strikes back, you go bankrupt.
LOL! Light sabres at dawn.
> 3) You do not strike, both you and bPlan are fine, OS4 and MOS will live
together, competition will wind up the Amiga market. That's not market
spliting, it's called competition.
That might be the way it happens in rose tinted world but see my first point.
> About 1) and 2)... You can never know who will win. It will be gambling.
Except the whole point of legal advice is to find out how much of a gamble the gamble is. If Amiga Inc did not think it was near a dead cert they would be daft to even speculate on a legal challenge.
> Will you guys risk it after spending 5 milion dollars just to BUY the name,
and then thousants to build up your company?
Just the name eh? I am *sure* you were about during the Amino buyout which means you *must* have seen the sale details.
Mind you, buying the name is sufficient, you then need to spend [x] dollars protecting it.
Its called business.
