Pegasos presentation in 'neues' cancelled! : Comment 48 of 179 | ANN.lu |

Yes, they can feel free to do whatever they want. I've been enjoying this compter for 10 years. Is Amiga Inc finally going to put an end to that joy? Not on my watch :p
This has nothing to do with Morhpos in particular. I mean, this has nothing to do with what -I- think about Morphos. It's about a company trying to destroy all competition in a market that is already small enough. This is just as pathetic as the PCI-"war" we had 1,5 years ago (I guess it's still alive). With the Voodoo-drivers. Of course, DCE was allowed (as far as I know) to get a "exclusive" deal, but nobody in the community liked it. If it wasn't for that, we could have had a lot more drivers today - on all boards.
>If, however, Amiga is indeed doing this just to win time
Well, first of all, we don't know (as far as I know) if they have sued them yet. If they have done it, then I believe it's only to win time. Mediator was the first PCI-bridge to be released, it was also the most sold one. If Morphos is released 6 months before AmigaOS4, wouldn't that be a huge advantage? |
