I updated the AmiMPC web with details of a new head unit I have been working on, which is greatly improved over the old one. See the web site for more info. My new head unit looks almost factory, and features a digital potentiometer based volume control. I think I'm finally 100% happy with the system!See the AmiMPC website for more details.

I too have been thinking about this project and some of the limitations....the first one I though of would be
FS support for really large drives (ie 60gigs +)
corrupted disks from shutting down unexpectdly
Also boot time could be an issue....perhaps you could boot from a small PCMCIA flash card that was write protected? Would be fast in booting thats for sure. Also, instead of using a small LCD screen, how about a 5" colour lcd hooked upto the composite port. The only problem here would be track selection without having to use a mouse......howe about a tiny touch screen :) Are there drivers for these on the Amiga?
Just random thoughts.....
Cheers
Francois
