Next Pegasos production sold out : Comment 256 of 280 | ANN.lu |
Posted by Bertrand Presles on 11-Jun-2002 23:03 GMT | In reply to Comment 255 (SimplePPC): Hello SimplePPC,
You said:
" They DID on the webiste but changed it, also they distributed flyers on the Amiga
show stating that MOS runs OS3.1 or 3.5, but i supposed you weren't in Cologne."
Hmm for the Website, I never seen any Amiga reference (The BPlan website, I'm not talking about the MorphOS one as Talkis was talking about the Bplan website), but maybe there was some references. Yes for the cologne flyers, that was true. If we only focus in the law, this is not illegal, but in the OS 3.5/3.9 End User Licence Agreement (EULA) there is a mention that avoid using AmigaOS 3.5/3.9 on a non Amiga certified platform and BPlan didn't know that at this time. Anyway, mistakes are human and this one have been corrected since.
"BTW it should be the other way around, if i want to create an almost compatible API OS
on a different platform then the one it is intended for i have to make sure I follow the rules
and don't just do what i want 'thinking' that i won't be sued for it anyways because
i think company x is a lot of bull."
Hmm, you seem very bad informed indeed. The MorphOS Team have perfectly respected the rules (i.e: the law) and that's why MorphOS is perfectly legal. Also please note that the final first commercial version of MorphOS won't need AmigaOS at all. And you are wrong thinking that BPlan/MorphOS Team is thinking that Amiga Inc/Hyperion is a lot of bull. They are just not sharing the same vision of the future, nothing more. This also is human, and thanks to god that the ideas/visions diversity exists.
